Connect Google Analytics 4 from the Wander Dashboard by adding your GA4 Measurement ID to the Tracking section. Your Measurement ID must begin with G-.
Before you begin
You need:
A Google Analytics 4 property.
A web data stream for the website you want to track.
The GA4 Measurement ID for that web data stream.
Google Analytics 4 Measurement IDs begin with G-. Google Tag Manager container IDs begin with GTM- and must be connected separately.
Find your GA4 Measurement ID
Sign in to Google Analytics.
Select the GA4 property you want to use.
Open Admin.
In the Property column, select Data streams.
Select the relevant Web data stream.
Copy the Measurement ID. It begins with
G-.
Connect Google Analytics 4 to your WanderOS website
Sign in to app.wander.com.
Open your organization menu.
Select View settings.
Under Website, select Integrations.
Find the Tracking section.
On the Google Analytics 4 row, select Connect.
Enter your Measurement ID.
Select Continue.
After the connection is saved, the Google Analytics 4 row shows Connected.
WanderOS uses the saved Measurement ID for tracking on your website. Tracking loads after visitor interaction or through the site’s fallback activation. A page load without interaction may not immediately generate an analytics request.
Confirm that Google Analytics 4 is receiving data
Open your live WanderOS website.
Interact with the website by scrolling, clicking, or opening another page.
Sign in to Google Analytics.
Open Reports > Realtime.
Confirm that your visit appears in the correct GA4 property.
Realtime is the best place to verify a new connection. Standard GA4 reports may update later than Realtime.
Test with browser extensions and ad blockers disabled if no visit appears.
Do not connect the same GA4 property twice
The Tracking section supports both Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
If you use Google Tag Manager to send GA4 tags, do not also connect the same GA4 property directly through the Google Analytics 4 row. Connecting both can create duplicate events and inflated reporting.
Use one of these configurations:
Connect Google Analytics 4 directly in WanderOS.
Connect Google Tag Manager and manage the GA4 tag inside your GTM container.
Google Tag Manager requires a separate GTM-... Container ID.
Update your Google Analytics connection
The current Tracking interface does not provide a separate Edit button.
To replace the connected Measurement ID:
Open Settings > Website > Integrations.
Select Disconnect on the Google Analytics 4 row.
Select Connect.
Enter the new GA4 Measurement ID.
Select Continue.
Disconnect Google Analytics 4
To disconnect the customer-owned Google Analytics 4 property:
Open Settings > Website > Integrations.
Find the connected Google Analytics 4 row.
Select Disconnect.
Disconnecting removes the customer-supplied GA4 Measurement ID from the WanderOS website. It does not delete the GA4 property or historical data in Google Analytics.
Troubleshooting

Confirm that:
The value begins with
G-.The value came from a GA4 web data stream.
You did not enter a Google Tag Manager Container ID beginning with
GTM-.You did not enter a legacy Universal Analytics ID beginning with

Check that:
You are viewing the GA4 property connected to the WanderOS website.
You opened the correct web data stream.
You interacted with the website after opening it.
An ad blocker or privacy extension is not blocking analytics requests.
You did not connect GA4 through both the direct Google Analytics 4 integration and Google Tag Manager.
GA4 and Google Tag Manager are both connected
GA4 and Google Tag Manager are both connected
If your GTM container already includes the GA4 tag, disconnect the direct Google Analytics 4 integration in WanderOS. Keep the GA4 configuration in one location to avoid duplicate events.
