Add a Form

How to create and customize lead capture and contact forms using the Form section, including all available field types and spam protection.

What are form sections?

Form sections let you add customizable forms to any page on your WanderOS site to collect inquiries, feedback, or guest information. There are two layout variants: Form and Contact Form. Both support the same field types and settings.

How do I add a form section?

  1. Go to app.wander.com → Website (left menu) → Pages.

  2. Select the page you want to edit.

  3. Click the + Section button and select Form or Contact Form under the Basics group.

  4. Click the section in the page preview to open the editing sidebar on the right.

What are the two form variants?

Both variants support the same field types and customization options. The only difference is layout.

Variant

Layout

Form

Centered single-column layout. Title and subtitle appear above the form, with fields contained in a compact card.

Contact Form

Two-column layout. A large bold heading appears on the left, with the form fields on the right. Collapses to a single column on mobile.

What field types are available?

Field Type

Description

Text

Single-line text input for short responses like names or email addresses.

Textarea

Multi-line text input for longer responses like messages or comments.

Checkbox

A single checkbox for opt-ins, agreements, or yes/no questions.

Select (Dropdown)

A dropdown menu with custom options you define.

Radio Buttons

A set of radio buttons where guests select one option from a list you define.

What can I customize on each field?

  • Label: The field name displayed to guests.

  • Placeholder: Hint text shown inside the field before the guest types (e.g., "Enter your email address"). Available on Text and Textarea fields.

  • Required: Toggle whether the field must be filled out before submitting.

  • Options: Define the choices for Select (dropdown) and Radio Button fields.

What other form settings are available?

  • Title: A heading displayed above the form.

  • Subtitle: Supporting text displayed below the title.

  • Submit Button Text: Customize the button label (defaults to "Submit").

  • Submit Button Color: Set a custom button color to match your brand.

  • Confirmation Message: Customize the success message guests see after submitting the form.

How is spam prevented?

WanderOS forms include built-in spam protection that runs automatically:

  • CAPTCHA: An invisible verification challenge runs in the background before submission is allowed. Guests do not need to solve a visual puzzle.

  • Honeypot field: A hidden field detects automated bot submissions and silently discards them.

  • Timing check: Submissions made within 3 seconds of page load with minimal content are flagged as suspicious.

No configuration is needed. These protections are active on all forms.

Tips

  • Guide the guest: Use placeholder text like "Enter your email address" or "Tell us about your group" to improve the experience.

  • Balance required fields: Too many required fields can discourage guests from completing the form. Only require what you truly need.

  • Use labels to organize: For longer forms, add Label fields to break the form into logical sections (e.g., "Contact Information," "Trip Details").

  • Start with Contact Form: If you just need a basic inquiry form, the Contact Form variant is ready to use with no field setup required.
