What is a testimonials section?
A testimonials section is a content block you add to any WanderOS page to display custom quotes. You write the quote text and attribution yourself, so use it for content that does not come from a guest review feed:
Press quotes ("As featured in Condé Nast Traveler...")
Partner or vendor endorsements
Repeat-guest quotes you collected over email or in person
Quotes from the property owner, founder, or local concierge
Note: Testimonials never auto-populate. The section will not appear on your live site until you add at least one testimonial entry to it.
Before you start
Have the following ready before you begin.
The page you want to edit (Homepage, About, a custom page, etc.)
The quote text for each testimonial
The name to display for each testimonial
Optional: a subtitle (role, company, publication) and a photo for the Visual Carousel style
How do I add a testimonials section to a page?
You add a testimonials section in five steps from the WanderOS page editor.
Go to app.wander.com and open Website → Pages from the left menu.
Select the page you want to edit.
Click + Section at the location where the testimonials should appear.
Select Testimonials from the section category list.
Choose your display style (see the next section), add a section title, and add each testimonial entry.
Which testimonials display style should I pick?
WanderOS offers two testimonial display styles. Pick the one that matches the page and the content you have.
Simple Testimonials
A clean three-column grid of quote cards. Best for homepages, About pages, or anywhere you want compact social proof without imagery.
Fields per entry:
Quote — the testimonial text
Name — the person being quoted
Testimonials Visual Carousel
A horizontal carousel where each card pairs a large quote with a side photo. Best for press features, founder or owner stories, and longer-form testimonials that benefit from a visual.
Fields per entry:
Quote text — the testimonial body
Name — the person being quoted (a verified-tick icon renders next to the name automatically)
Subtext — role, company, or publication (e.g. "Condé Nast Traveler", "Repeat guest since 2022")
Image — a portrait or scene photo shown alongside the quote on tablet and larger screens
Tip: Use Simple Testimonials when you have 3 or 6 short quotes and no photos. Use the Visual Carousel when you have at least one photo per quote and want a more editorial, magazine-style feel.
How do I edit or remove a testimonial?
You edit testimonials directly inside the section in the page editor.
Open the page in Website → Pages.
Click the testimonials section to select it.
To edit an entry, click into its quote, name, subtext, or image and update the value.
To remove an entry, use the delete icon on that testimonial card.
To remove the whole section, select the section header and use the section delete control.
Click Publish to push your changes live.
Note: Changes are not visible to guests until you click Publish. Use Preview to confirm the section looks right before publishing.
Can I use testimonials and reviews on the same page?
Yes, you can use both a Testimonials section and a Reviews section on the same page. They serve different purposes:
Testimonials — quotes you write yourself (press, partners, owners, hand-picked guests)
Reviews — star-rated feedback synced from Airbnb, VRBO, or your PMS
Pairing them is a common pattern: a Visual Carousel of press quotes near the top of the homepage, followed by a synced Reviews summary further down.
Troubleshooting
If your testimonials section does not look right, check the most common causes below.
Section is empty on the live site: Testimonials never auto-populate. Add at least one entry with a quote and a name.
Visual Carousel cards have no photo on desktop: The image only renders on tablet and larger screens. On mobile, only the quote card shows by design.
Testimonials disappeared after editing: Make sure you clicked Publish, not just Save. Use Preview to verify before publishing.
