What is the CTA section?
The Call to Action section is a single, high-impact banner designed to drive visitors toward a specific goal, like booking a stay or contacting you. It displays a large heading and button over a background image with a built-in dark overlay for readability.
How do I add a CTA section?
Go to app.wander.com → Website (left menu) → Pages.
Select the page you want to edit.
Click the + Section button and select Call to Action under the Basics group.
Click the section in the page preview to open the editing sidebar.
What can I customize?
Eyebrow: Small text above the title (e.g., "Ready to book?" or "Limited availability").
Title: The main heading displayed prominently on the banner. Keep it short and action-oriented.
Button Text: The label on the CTA button (e.g., "Book Your Stay").
Button Link: The URL the button links to (e.g., your search page, a specific property, or a contact form).
Background Image: A photo that fills the banner. A dark overlay at 35% opacity is automatically applied for text readability.
Important: Both Button Text and Button Link must be set for the button to appear. If either is missing, no button will render.
How should I format my button link?
For details on how to format internal page links vs. external URLs for buttons and CTAs, see the How do I format links in WanderOS? article.
How should I configure the background image?
Use a high-resolution, landscape-oriented image for best results. The image fills the full width of the section (up to 1832px) and is cropped to fit using cover scaling.
A minimum resolution of 1920x1080px is recommended. The system auto-generates responsive versions at 640px, 828px, 1080px, 1440px, and 1832px widths.
Choose images with visual breathing room. Since text overlays the left side of the image, photos with a clear or less-busy left portion work best.
If no image is uploaded, a default curated photo is used automatically.
Where should I place a CTA section on my site?
Best practices for CTA placement:
After informational content. Place the CTA after sections like Feature Lists, FAQs, or Reviews so guests are informed and primed to take action.
At the bottom of every key page. End your Homepage, About Us, and neighborhood guide pages with a CTA to capture guests who have scrolled to the end.
Below your property gallery. After browsing properties, guests are ready to search or book. A CTA like "Find Your Perfect Stay" with a link to your search page reinforces the next step.
On landing pages. If you run ads or email campaigns, the landing page should feature a prominent CTA section above or near the fold.
Between long content sections. On content-heavy pages, a mid-page CTA breaks up the reading and gives guests an action point before they lose interest.
Note: You can add multiple CTA sections to the same page. Use different titles and links to guide guests toward different actions (e.g., "Browse Properties" early on, "Contact Us" at the bottom).
Tips
Use action-oriented language. Strong verbs like "Book," "Explore," "Discover," or "Start" outperform generic text like "Click Here" or "Learn More."
Keep the title concise. The title displays at a large size and is limited to about half the banner width. Shorter titles have more visual impact.
Match the CTA to the page context. A property highlights page should link to booking. An FAQ page should link to contact. Match the action to the intent.
