Once your PMS is connected and your properties are prepared, Wander creates the first version of your direct booking website.
If you already have a website, Wander uses your existing site as the starting point for your WanderOS site, including your branding and website content. If you do not have an existing website, your Launch Specialist will work with you to collect the information needed to create your site.
Before launch, review your new site, submit any necessary revisions, and make sure the guest experience is ready to go live.
How your WanderOS site is created
If you have an existing website, Wander automatically imports your site to create the first version of your WanderOS website.
This gives Wander a starting point for your:
Branding and colors
Logo and images
Website copy
Navigation and pages
Contact information
Other existing website content
Your imported site is a starting point. Review the new version carefully to make sure the content, design, navigation, and guest experience work as expected in WanderOS.
If you do not have an existing website, your Launch Specialist will contact you to learn more about your business and website goals and collect the content needed for your build.
Review your first site version
When your first version is ready, your Launch Specialist will send it to you for review.
Review the site from the perspective of a guest discovering your business and deciding whether to book.
Check the following areas:
Branding and design
Confirm that your logo, brand colors, photography, and overall site presentation represent your business correctly.
Homepage and website content
Review your homepage and other important pages for accurate:
Headings and website copy
Images
Contact information
Calls to action
Business information
Check for outdated content carried over from your previous website and identify anything that should not appear on the new site.
Navigation and pages
Use your site's navigation as a guest would.
Confirm that:
Important pages are included.
Navigation links open the correct pages.
Buttons and links lead to the expected destination.
Guests can easily find your properties and booking experience.
If you need additional pages, blogs, or local guides, these can also be managed through WanderOS.
Property pages and photos
Review a sample of your property pages from the guest-facing website.
Check that the page layout, photos, descriptions, amenities, and other visible property information appear as expected.
If the underlying property information is incorrect, make the change in the system responsible for that information. Operational property information such as availability, rates, fees, and taxes should generally be corrected in your PMS rather than through the website editor.
Contact details and social links
Confirm that the contact information shown to guests is correct.
Review any phone numbers, email addresses, social links, and other ways guests can contact or learn more about your business.
Search filters
Review the filters available to guests and make sure they are useful for your portfolio.
Prioritize amenities and attributes that help guests meaningfully narrow their search rather than displaying unnecessary filters.
SEO and page information
Review important page titles, descriptions, URLs, and other available page information, particularly if WanderOS is replacing an existing website.
Where possible, preserve useful existing URLs and identify important pages that should continue to be accessible after launch.
Desktop and mobile
Review your site on both desktop and mobile.
Check important pages, navigation, images, property pages, and the path guests will use to search for a stay.
