Customize Button Styles

Change button colors on your direct booking site, preview your changes, and manage buttons with custom colors.

Customize button colors in Website → Edit website → Customize → Styles → Colors.

Depending on your site’s setup, you will see either Brand, Accent, and Secondary colors or separate Primary button background and text color controls.

These settings apply to your direct booking website, not to Wander.com Marketplace.

What this affects

Button Theme changes apply globally to every button on your site, including:

  • Booking buttons in the header and on property pages

  • Calls to action (CTAs) inside Hero, Large Content, and CTA sections

  • Form submit buttons such as Contact Form

  • Any button you add through page sections in the editor

Button styles are independent of your general color palette, so you can make CTAs stand out from the rest of the site.

How do I change my button styles?

  1. Log in to app.wander.com.

  2. In the left sidebar, click Website → Branding.

  3. Open Styles → Edit Styles.

  4. In the Button Themes section, set:

    • Background — the fill color of the button.

    • Text — the color of the text inside the button.

  5. Click Save to push changes live.

If you do not customize them, buttons default to a neutral black/gray theme.

Preview, save, or discard changes

The editor preview reflects your unsaved style changes. Previewing does not save them.

  1. Review the buttons and their labels in the preview.

  2. Click Save in the upper-right corner.

  3. Wait for the Styles saved confirmation.

  4. If your site is already live, open your website and check the updated buttons on the relevant pages.

Before saving, use Undo or Redo in the editor to move through your changes.

If you navigate away with unsaved changes, choose Discard to remove them or Save to keep them. Simply closing a color picker does not discard your changes.

Saving clears the current undo history. To change a saved color back, edit the color again and save.

When a button does not match your site colors

A button can look different because it uses a different button style, sits within a different section theme, or has its own custom color.

To check for a custom button color:

  1. Select the page containing the button.

  2. Open the section containing the button.

  3. Where available, check Button color or Submit button color.

  4. To remove a custom color, click Reset beside that color control. The button will inherit its theme styling.

  5. Save the page after changing the section.

Not every section exposes an individual button color control. If the control is unavailable, contact Support with the page URL and the button text.

Tip: For accessibility, make sure the Background and Text colors have enough contrast that the button label is easy to read. White text on a light background, or black text on a dark background, will be hard for guests to see.
