Overview
Use the WanderOS Website Editor to build and update your direct booking website without coding. The editor uses a block-based system that lets you add, edit, and reorder sections across pages such as your homepage, About page, Contact page, FAQs, blog, and custom pages.
Listing-specific content, including listing descriptions, availability, and listing photos, is not edited in the Website Editor. Update that information through your property management system (PMS).
What can I edit with the Website Editor?
The Website Editor gives you tools to manage the content, layout, and appearance of your direct booking site.
You can use it to:
Create custom pages, including FAQ pages, local area guides, landing pages, and blog content
Customize your homepage with brand images, colors, and featured property listings
Add and edit page sections such as contact forms, guest reviews, property features, and call-to-action buttons
Update your site-wide colors, typography, logo, favicon, and footer
Control which pages appear in your site navigation
Create popups to collect guest information
While you can choose which properties appear within website sections, the underlying listing details are managed through your PMS.
How to edit your website
Log in to app.wander.com.
Go to Website in the left-hand menu.
Select Edit Website.
The Website Editor will open, where you can use the AI site editor or make changes manually.
There are two ways to edit your website - see below for more further steps on each:
Use the AI Site Editor
Make manual adjustments
AI site editor
The Ask assistant is a chat panel inside the WanderOS Site Editor. You type what you want changed, in normal sentences, and the assistant makes the change on your site for you. You do not need any technical or AI experience.
For example, you can type "Rewrite the intro on my homepage so it sounds warmer" or "Add a page about things to do in Austin," and the assistant does the work.
To use the AI site editor:
Sign in to app.wander.com.
Under Channels, select Website, then Edit website.
In the editor's left-hand menu, select Ask. The chat panel opens on the side of the screen.
Type your request in the box labeled Ask about your site… and press Enter.
Changes the assistant makes are saved as it works. If the page is already published, visitors can see the change as soon as it finishes. New pages the assistant creates are published immediately, but they are not added to your site's menu unless you ask.
Before you ask for a large change, decide what you want first. After each change, review the preview. If you are not happy with the result, ask the assistant to undo it (see below).
Press Shift + Enter to start a new line without sending. You can also press Cmd + J (Mac) or Ctrl + J (Windows) to open or close the panel.
The assistant replies in the panel and tells you what it changed. Your page preview updates as it works. Select Stop generating if you want it to stop partway through.
The assistant can:
Rewrite text on any page: shorten it, change the tone, fix typos, or write new copy.
Add, remove, and reorder sections on pages you created yourself, such as marketing, gallery, or blank pages.
Create, duplicate, and delete pages, including blog posts and local-area guides.
Change photos in sections, including photos you paste or drag into the chat.
Change your brand colors, fonts, logo, and footer button.
Build property collections, such as a page showing every home in one building or every pet-friendly home.
Fix SEO details such as page titles, descriptions, and social-share images.
Set up redirects from old page addresses on your site to new ones.
Check your site for broken links and missing SEO tags.
Tell you what changed and when, including edits made directly in the editor.
If you ask for something it cannot do, it will say so and, where possible, point you to the right place in the editor.
The assistant only edits your website's pages and design. It cannot change:
Nightly rates, fees, taxes, or discounts
Listing details that come from your property management system (PMS), such as amenities, bed counts, or photos synced from the PMS
Your calendar, availability, or reservations
Payouts or payment settings
Your domain connection or account settings
Write requests the assistant can act on
Clear requests get better results. Three habits help most.
Say where. Name the page and the part of the page.
Vague: "Make the text better."
Clear: "On the About page, rewrite the first paragraph so it is two sentences and mentions that we are family-owned."
Say what you want, not just what you dislike.
Vague: "The homepage looks boring."
Clear: "On the homepage, change the headline to focus on lakefront views and swap the main photo for one that shows the water."
One request at a time for anything complex. Short, separate requests are easier to review and undo than one long list.
Example requests you can copy
"Rewrite the intro on my homepage in a friendlier tone. Keep it under 60 words."
"Add a page called Things to do in Sedona with a short intro and five local highlights."
"Create a page called Waterpointe Condos with a property gallery showing every home whose name starts with Waterpointe."
"Change my brand colors to a warm sand and deep green palette."
"Check my site for broken links and fix any you find."
"Write a page title and description for the FAQ page that mention Hilton Head vacation rentals."
"Replace the hero photo on the Contact page with this one." (paste or drag the image into the chat)
Give the assistant facts, not guesses
The assistant writes from the information it has. If you want a page to say your check-in time is 4 PM or that you have 32 homes, include that in your request. It will not invent facts about your business.
Ask the assistant to undo a change
If you do not like a result, type what you want reversed, for example: "Undo the last change to the homepage" or "Put the About page text back to the way it was this morning."
The assistant looks up your site's change history and restores the earlier version. It will tell you if any part of a change cannot be fully restored. For example, if a page was deleted and a new page now uses the same address, it will not overwrite the new page.
Asking for an undo is safest soon after the change. If you have made other edits since, mention them so the assistant does not remove work you want to keep.
Start a new chat for a new topic
Each chat keeps the context of what you discussed. For a new, unrelated task, select the + button at the top of the panel to start a new chat. You can switch between past chats from the panel header.
Get help when the assistant is stuck
If the assistant needs something it cannot find, such as a photo you mentioned but did not attach, it may pass your question to the Wander team. You will see its reply in the chat.
For anything the assistant says it cannot do, or if a change did not turn out as expected and the undo did not resolve it, contact [email protected] or use Help Center chat. Include the page name and what you asked the assistant to do.
Manually edit website pages
To manually edit an existing page, select the page from the left-hand side of the Site Builder.
From there, you can update the content blocks included on that page type.
