Connect your Domain and Launch your Site!

Choose your website address, connect your domain, complete launch checks, and verify your first real WanderOS booking.

Let's get your site live!

When you connect your main domain to WanderOS, that domain will point to your new WanderOS site instead of your previous website. Wait until you are ready to go live before making the switch.

Choose how your site will be accessed

Choose the option that fits your website setup.

1. Use your main domain (Recommended)

Use your main domain when WanderOS will replace the website currently hosted at that address.

Once connected, visitors to your main domain will see your WanderOS site instead of your previous website.

Do not connect your main domain until your WanderOS site is ready to accept bookings.

2. Use a booking subdomain

Use a subdomain such as book.yourbrand.com when you want to keep your existing main website and use WanderOS specifically for direct bookings.

Once the subdomain is live, update the booking links on your existing website so guests are directed to your WanderOS booking site.

3. Use your WanderOS site address

You can also launch using the WanderOS site address available for your website and connect a custom domain later.

Complete the same launch-readiness checks regardless of which address you use.

Before connecting your custom domain

Before changing your domain, confirm that:

  • Your website content is ready to launch.

  • The correct properties are listed.

  • Payment verification and payout setup are complete.

  • Cancellation policies and booking types are correct.

  • Representative guest searches reach checkout with the expected terms and totals.

  • You can access your domain provider account.

  • Important URLs from your existing website have been reviewed.

  • Redirects for URLs that will change have been prepared.

  • Any business email services using the domain have been reviewed.

If a launch-critical issue remains unresolved, keep your existing domain unchanged until it is resolved.

Check your business email before connecting

Connecting your domain is designed to leave existing business email records in place.

However, DNS providers can apply changes differently. If connecting the domain requires a nameserver change, your email records will need to be recreated.

If you use email addresses on the domain you are connecting, confirm your email setup with your Launch Specialist before making the change.

Check redirects for your existing URLs

If WanderOS is replacing an existing website, redirects help visitors and search engines reach the correct pages when an old URL changes.

Redirect planning should already have started while your WanderOS site was being built. Before connecting your domain, review important existing URLs and make sure they lead to the appropriate pages on your new site.

Create a redirect with the AI site editor

You can use the WanderOS AI site editor to create redirects for URLs on a domain WanderOS controls.

Open the AI site editor and enter a prompt such as:

Redirect this old URL to the new URL: [old URL] → [new URL]

Review the change to confirm that the old URL points to the intended destination.

Redirects from third-party domains

WanderOS cannot create a redirect for a domain controlled by another provider.

For example, if an old booking or property URL is hosted on a PMS-owned domain, WanderOS cannot redirect that URL from within your WanderOS site.

Check whether the provider supports forwarding or redirects from the old URL.

If the provider does not support redirects, update important links that you control so they point directly to your new WanderOS pages.

This may include links on:

  • Your Google Business Profile

  • Social profiles

  • Partner websites

  • Marketing campaigns

  • Other websites or directories linking to your old booking pages

A list mapping an old URL to a new URL does not create a working redirect. The redirect must be configured on the domain where the old URL is hosted.

Connect your custom domain

When your site and booking setup are ready:

  1. Go to Website → Website settings → Domain.

  2. Enter the domain or booking subdomain you want to use.

  3. Start the guided Entri connection.

  4. Sign in to your domain provider when prompted.

  5. Authorize the connection.

  6. Return to WanderOS and check your domain status.

If the guided connection cannot connect your domain provider, stop and contact Wander Support rather than making unverified DNS changes.

Avoid repeatedly disconnecting and reconnecting your domain while troubleshooting.

Wait for your domain to become active

Domain changes can take time to become visible.

When your custom domain is successfully connected and ready, you will receive an email with the subject: “Your Custom Domain ([domain]) Is Now Active”

This email confirms that your custom domain is active and your WanderOS site is bookable at that address!

Once you receive the email, open your live website and complete your final launch checks.

If your domain remains Pending

If your custom domain remains Pending or your website does not load:

  1. Confirm that you entered the intended domain or subdomain.

  2. Confirm that you completed the domain-provider authorization.

  3. Test the website in a private browser window.

  4. Test the website using another network, such as mobile data.

  5. Allow time for the DNS change to become visible.

Avoid repeatedly disconnecting and reconnecting your domain.

Contact Wander Support if you see an explicit error, certificate warning, email interruption, or a previously working website becomes unavailable.

When contacting Support, include the exact domain, a screenshot of the issue, and the approximate time you completed the connection.

Check your live website

Review your site on the connected domain as a guest.

Confirm that:

  • The website loads securely.

  • The correct homepage appears.

  • The intended properties are visible.

  • Navigation links work.

  • Contact information is correct.

  • Important pages are published.

  • Important redirects lead to the correct pages.

  • The site works as expected on desktop.

  • The site works as expected on mobile.

If you use business email on the same domain, also confirm that your email continues to work after the domain change.
