Before your WanderOS site can accept direct bookings, complete your payment setup and review the pricing and booking rules guests will see at checkout.
This includes setting up your payout account, choosing your cancellation policy and booking type, reviewing payment options, and confirming that rates, fees, taxes, and the final guest total are correct.
Before moving on to your domain and launch, complete a representative guest search through checkout to make sure the booking experience works as expected.
Complete payment and payout onboarding
The payment method you added during signup pays for your WanderOS subscription. It does not enable you to accept guest payments or receive booking payouts.
The property manager must separately complete the payment onboarding process. This includes the required identity verification and bank account setup.
Only the property manager can complete this verification.
Go to Earnings → Complete onboarding and follow the secure verification steps.
Have the following information available:
Legal business details
Information for the authorized business representative
Required identification
Bank account information for payouts
Complete sensitive information only through the secure verification flow. Do not send identification documents, bank details, card information, passwords, or other sensitive information by email or chat.
Resolve any outstanding verification requirements before launch.

Set your cancellation policy
Set the cancellation policy you want guests to agree to when booking directly through your WanderOS site.
Start by setting your organization default cancellation policy. Then review your individual listings for any properties that need a different policy.
Do not assume the cancellation policy in your PMS automatically determines the policy used by WanderOS.
For each property, confirm the guest-facing cancellation policy before launch, particularly if you use listing-level exceptions.
Changes to a cancellation policy apply to future bookings. They do not change the terms already attached to an existing confirmed reservation.
Learn more:
Choose your booking type
Decide whether each property should use Instant Book or Request to Book.
New listings default to Instant Book. If a property should use Request to Book, you must change its booking type in WanderOS.
Go to Listings → select the property → Booking Type and choose the appropriate option.
Instant Book confirms an eligible reservation after successful payment.
Request to Book requires you to review and approve the guest's request before the reservation is confirmed.
Check the booking type for each property you plan to launch rather than assuming the setting has carried over from your PMS.
Learn more:
Choose your guest payment options
Choose how you want eligible guests to pay for their reservation.
Pay in Full is available by default for Instant Book reservations.
You can also enable Half Now, Half Later under Channels → Website → Payment Options.
For eligible bookings with check-in at least 31 days away:
50% is charged when the guest books.
The remaining 50% is charged 30 days before check-in.
Not every reservation qualifies for an installment payment option. Review the payment schedule shown during checkout as part of your prelaunch testing.
Learn more:
Review your rental agreement
If you use a rental agreement, review it alongside your cancellation policy and payment options.
Go to Website → Terms → Rental Agreement to review or add your agreement.
Make sure the agreement does not conflict with the cancellation policy or payment terms guests see during checkout.
Also check that guests can access the agreement where expected on your website and during the booking process.

Check your pricing, fees, and taxes
Your PMS is the source for operational pricing information such as rates, property fees, and taxes.
Before launch, compare a representative quote from your PMS with the same stay in WanderOS.
Use the same:
Property
Check-in and check-out dates
Number of guests
Pet selection, when applicable
Discount, when applicable
Compare the full booking total rather than comparing only the nightly rate.
The totals may not be displayed in exactly the same way in both systems. In your PMS, mandatory fees, Wander fees, and discounts may not appear as separate line items. Some amounts may be included within a combined total, with taxes and fees broken out differently.
Your goal is to confirm that the guest is being charged the correct overall amount and that the pricing inputs used for the booking are correct.
Review markups and processing fees
As part of your pricing review, check any channel markups or additional charges that could affect the direct-booking total.
Pay particular attention to fees or markups that may have been configured for another booking channel and are not needed for direct bookings through WanderOS.
If you identify an unnecessary or duplicate markup or charge, correct it in your PMS and repeat the WanderOS search.
Do not add another fee to compensate for a pricing difference unless you have confirmed the source of the discrepancy. This can result in guests being charged twice.
Check your taxes
Tax amounts used at checkout come from your PMS configuration.
Confirm that the correct taxes are included in your representative booking tests. If the tax amount is incorrect, review and correct the tax configuration in your PMS, then repeat the search in WanderOS.
You remain responsible for filing and remitting taxes applicable to your business. WanderOS collects the configured tax amount at checkout but does not file or remit those taxes on your behalf.
Learn more:
Set up discount codes, if needed
Discount codes are optional and are not required to launch your site.
If you want to offer a promotion when you launch, go to Finance → Discounts → Create discount.
Configure the code, discount value, eligible properties, applicable dates, and any usage restrictions.
Test the code using a stay that meets its eligibility requirements and confirm the discount is reflected correctly at checkout.

Test the guest checkout experience
Before moving on to your domain, complete a representative booking search as if you were a guest.
You do not need to submit a real payment.
Use representative properties and booking scenarios from your launch inventory and continue through to the final checkout review.
Check:
Availability
Nightly rates
Property fees
Taxes
Discounts, when applicable
Wander and payment processing fees
Cancellation terms
Payment schedule
Booking type
Final guest total
Remember that your PMS and WanderOS may group or display individual amounts differently. Mandatory fees, Wander fees, and discounts will not appear explicitly as separate line items on the check out page.
Compare the complete quote and confirm that the final guest total is what you expect.
If the checkout total does not look right
If the WanderOS checkout total differs from what you expect:
Confirm you are comparing the same property, dates, guest count, pet selection, and discount.
Compare the complete itemized quote rather than the nightly rate alone.
Check the rates, required property fees, taxes, and other pricing inputs in your PMS.
Look for unnecessary or duplicate markups and charges in your PMS.
Correct the source configuration where needed.
Repeat the same guest search in WanderOS.
If the difference remains after you have checked the source configuration, contact your Launch Specialist (pre-launch) or Support (post-launch). Include the property, dates, guest count, and itemized pricing from both systems so the issue can be investigated.
Keep an affected property de-listed until any booking-critical pricing or checkout issue is resolved.
Check your setup before moving on
Before preparing your domain for launch, confirm that:
Payment verification is complete.
Your payout bank account is set up correctly.
Your cancellation policies are correct.
Each launch property has the intended booking type.
Your guest payment options are correct.
Your rental agreement is consistent with your cancellation and payment terms.
Rates, property fees, and taxes are correct.
Unnecessary or duplicate markups and charges have been removed.
Any launch discount codes have been tested.
Representative guest searches reach checkout successfully.
The final guest totals are what you expect.
Once these checks are complete, you are ready to prepare your domain and launch your WanderOS site!!
