The price on a WanderOS direct-booking site is built from your PMS pricing data, applicable fees and taxes, and Wander’s guest-facing platform and payment-processing fees.
The amount can look different at each stage because the property page, checkout, and receipt present the same booking information in different ways.
Pricing inputs from your PMS
Wander receives pricing and availability data from your property management system (PMS).
Depending on the PMS and its configuration, the booking quote can include:
Nightly accommodation rates
Cleaning fees
Pet fees
Resort or property fees
Refundable deposits or other external charges
Taxes
Discounts and pricing rules
The exact fee mapping varies by PMS. Your PMS may show a nightly rate, subtotal, host payout, or another amount that does not include every guest-facing charge.
Property page pricing
The property page uses the dates selected in the booking widget or included in the property-page URL.
The property page may show a summary such as:
$1,270 for 3 nights (before taxes)
This summary can include PMS-provided fees in the displayed stay amount. As a result, the apparent nightly rate may be higher than the base nightly rate shown in the PMS.
The property page does not show the complete invoice breakdown.
If direct-booking prices can differ from PMS quotes
The guest total on your direct-booking site may differ from the amount shown in your property management system (PMS) because WanderOS can include additional fees or pricing adjustments.
The WanderOS subtotal may include:
Wander’s 5.85% guest-facing fee
Cleaning, amenity, resort, or other mandatory fees from your PMS
Discounts or pricing adjustments that differ from those applied in your PMS
Applicable taxes are then added to the subtotal to calculate the guest’s total price.
Checkout pricing
Checkout recalculates the quote for the selected booking details, including:
Check-in and check-out dates
Number of guests
Pets, when applicable
Payment type
PMS-provided charges
Taxes
Discounts
Wander’s guest-facing fee
The checkout presentation is summarized. Mandatory fees may be included in the displayed subtotal or nightly amount, followed by taxes and the final total.
Checkout is the authoritative guest price for the booking.
Post-booking receipt pricing
The post-booking trip details and receipt can show a more detailed breakdown than checkout.
The receipt may list separate items. A fee appearing as a separate line on the receipt does not necessarily mean it was added again. Checkout summarizes the invoice, while the receipt can itemize its components.
Reasons the direct-booking price can differ from the PMS
The direct-booking price can differ from the PMS amount because:
Wander’s 5.85% guest-facing fee was added.
The PMS amount does not include all mapped fees.
Taxes were added to the guest quote.
A refundable deposit or other external charge is included.
The PMS is showing a host subtotal or payout rather than the guest total.
The same dates, guest count, pets, payment type, or discounts were not used.
PMS pricing rules or markups differ between the PMS view and the guest quote.
Compare the same booking inputs
To compare the PMS price with the Wander price, use the same:
Check-in and check-out dates
Number of nights
Number of guests
Pet count
Payment type
Cleaning, pet, resort, deposit, and other PMS charges
Taxes
Promotional codes and discounts
PMS pricing adjustments or markups
Compare the PMS guest quote with the Wander checkout total, not only with the PMS nightly rate or host payout.
