What does the video section look like on the live site?
The Video section displays a single, centered video player above an optional title.
Title — renders as a large heading above the player
Player — 16:9 aspect ratio, max width matches a standard editorial layout
Poster image — the still image guests see before pressing play
Play button — a circular overlay that disappears once the video starts; native player controls then appear
Guests must press play. The video does not auto-play in the section. Hero sections handle background autoplay video separately.
Before you start
Have the following ready before you begin.
The page you want to edit (Homepage, About, a custom landing page, etc.)
Either a video file to upload (MP4 recommended) or a search term for finding stock footage in Pexels
A title for the video section
Optional: a poster image. Pexels selections come with a poster automatically. Uploaded videos can use a custom poster when you set one in the picker.
How do I add a video section to a page?
You add a video section in five steps from the WanderOS page editor.
Go to app.wander.com and open Website → Pages from the left menu.
Select the page you want to edit.
Click + Section at the location where the video should appear.
Open the Assets group and select Video.
Use the right sidebar to set the Title and click the video picker to choose your video.
Click Publish when you are done.
What can I configure on a Video section?
The Video sidebar has two fields.
Title — heading shown above the video player. Leave blank if you want the video to stand on its own.
Video — opens the Add a Video dialog. Pick a stock video from the Videos by Pexels tab, or use the Upload a Video tab to add your own file.
The poster image is set automatically when you pick from Pexels. When uploading, the picker lets you select a still frame as the poster.

How do I edit, replace, or remove a video later?
You manage the video directly from the section sidebar in the page editor.
Open the page in Website → Pages.
Click the video section to select it.
Update the Title field, or click the video picker to swap in a new video.
To remove the whole section, select the section header and use the section delete control.
Click Publish to push your changes live.
Tip: Keep section videos under 60 seconds for the best guest experience. Long videos slow down the page and rarely get watched in full. For atmospheric background motion, use a short Pexels clip on a Hero section instead.
Troubleshooting
If your video section does not look or behave right, check the most common causes below.
Section is missing on the live site: The section requires a video URL. Re-open the picker and select or upload a video, then republish.
No poster image is visible: Pexels videos always include a poster. Uploaded videos need one set in the picker. Re-open the picker, choose a still frame, and republish.
Video does not start when guests click play: Confirm the file uploaded successfully (the picker shows a preview when it has). For uploaded MP4s, re-encode using H.264 video and AAC audio if playback is unreliable.
I want a video to autoplay in the background: Use a Hero section with a video background instead. The Video section is built for guest-initiated playback only.
