Quick answer
You configure a listing's location from app.wander.com → Listings → click the listing → Listing Details → Location. From there you set the property address, choose whether to show the exact location or an approximate area, write a neighborhood description, tag the views guests can expect, and select nearby attractions. The address syncs from your Property Management System (PMS); the rest is managed in WanderOS. This applies to all WanderOS hosts and property managers.
How do I open the Location tab?
Log in to
app.wander.com.Select Listings in the left sidebar.
Click the listing you want to edit.
In the listing's left sidebar, open Listing Details.
Click the Location tab.
What can I configure on the Location tab?
Setting | What it controls |
Address | The full property address used to place the property on the map. |
Share specific property location | Toggle on to show guests the exact pin. Toggle off to show only an approximate area. |
Location description | A written description of the neighborhood, surroundings, and what makes the area special. |
Views | Tag the views guests can expect from the property (ocean, mountain, city, etc.). |
Nearby attractions | Select restaurants, parks, beaches, ski lifts, and other points of interest near the property. |
How do I set or update the address?
The address syncs from your PMS, so the cleanest path is to update it there.
Update the address in your PMS.
Wait for the next sync into WanderOS.
Open the Location tab in WanderOS to confirm the address and pin look correct on the map.
If you need to make a one-off correction directly in WanderOS, you can edit the address field on the Location tab. Note that a future PMS sync may overwrite the WanderOS value with the PMS value, so keep your PMS in sync for permanent changes.
How do I show or hide the exact location?
Open the Location tab.
Find Share specific property location.
Toggle on to display the exact pin to guests, or off to show only an approximate area on the map.
Tip: Many hosts hide the exact location until a booking is confirmed, then send the precise address through pre-trip communications. Hiding the pin keeps the property's exact location off the public listing page.
How do I write a strong location description?
The location description sits below the map on your listing page. Use it to tell guests what it feels like to be at this property and in this area.
What to include:
Neighborhood character — quiet residential, downtown walkable, mountain seclusion, beachfront.
Distance to the things guests care about — beach, slopes, town square, airport.
What's in walking distance — coffee shops, restaurants, trailheads.
Drive times to nearby cities, ski resorts, or attractions.
Anything that might surprise a guest — gravel road access, gate code required, seasonal road closures.
How do I tag views?
Open the Location tab.
Find the Views section.
Select every view that applies (ocean, mountain, city, lake, forest, desert, garden, etc.).
Views appear on your listing page and help guests filter for the experience they want.
How do I add nearby attractions?
Open the Location tab.
Find the Nearby attractions section.
Search for and select attractions, restaurants, parks, beaches, ski lifts, and other points of interest near the property.
Nearby attractions show in your pre-check in emails, if enabled, and give guests context for what they can do during their stay.
Tip: Aim for 6–10 nearby attractions that span dining, outdoor activities, and family-friendly options. A small, well-chosen set is more useful than an exhaustive list.
Best practices
Keep the PMS address current. It is the source of truth for the map pin.
Hide the exact location if the property is in a residential area where pin-level disclosure could create privacy or security concerns.
Write the location description for the booker, not the search engine. Speak to what the stay feels like, not just keywords.
Tag every view honestly. Don't tag "ocean view" if you only see it from the roof.
Refresh nearby attractions seasonally — restaurants close, lifts move, new spots open.
